Looking at evening light
Late light changes a familiar scene. A wall that looked flat at noon can reveal texture, and a busy road may become a sequence of silhouettes. Choose a safe, public place to observe and do not stand in traffic or on an unsafe edge for a photograph.
Take a few images with different framing, then put the camera away. Write what changed over ten minutes: the length of shadows, the colour of a window or the pace of passers-by. The exercise is about attention. It does not need exceptional equipment or a dramatic destination.
Notebook exercise
Take ten minutes to record one detail from your own day. Include the date and setting, then leave the page open for a later observation. Keep any private information out of a version you share.
